How To Be FORGIVEN

So, you’ve done something really BAD recently and you are starting to feel so guilty about it!  You feel as if you’ll NEVER be forgiven by the person you’ve caused harm to or the situation you seemed to have gotten yourself into.  The truth is, that particular PERSON may not forgive you right now or EVER because they are too bitter, mean and ANGRY at you at this time, but you need to really submit yourself to GOD and ask GOD for TRUE forgiveness.  This other person might hold a nasty grudge against you for the rest of their life!  So be prepared for that disappointment.

The truth is, YES, you CAN be forgiven!  You already ARE forgiven by the blood of CHRIST and what Jesus did on the cross for YOU and each and every one of YOUR sins!

Well, you are probably saying to yourself, “But Minister Brad, what I’ve done is so evil!  It’s just so BAD and I just really don’t think that I’ll ever be forgiven for what I’ve done!”  The truth is, Jesus Christ DIED on that cross to SAVE us from sin.  Each and EVERY sin is created EQUAL in the eyes of GOD.  Sin knows NO weight.  If you commit murder v.s. swearing, it’s still the SAME result!  SIN!

“What is a sin?”  “What is forgiveness?”  “What is confession and confessing your sins?”  “What does it all mean!?  I’m so confused, Brad!  How can I be forgiven for what I’ve done!?”

I love to teach the Bible in laymen terms so EVERYONE understands, even little children.

This is what it means:

SIN= BAD, EVIL, SOMETHING HORRIBLE THAT YOU’VE DONE, SOMETHING THAT YOU KNOW JUST ISN’T RIGHT.

What happens to you or US after we sin?  YOU START TO FEEL GUILTY IN YOUR HEART FOR WHAT YOU’VE CAUSED TO SOMEONE ELSE OR FROM DOING SOMETHING IN YOUR LIFE.

WHY do we or Christians feel guilty after committing a sin or doing something bad?  Our conscience, soul or, “Holy Spirit” within us tells us that what we did is wrong and we should have really NOT done what we did.  The truth is, each and every sin separates us from GOD and his kingdom.  GOD’s kingdom is PURLY SINLESS!  The saints are marching in Heaven with GOD and they live a pure and Holy life for GOD.  We should follow suit if we want to make it to Heaven.

The truth is, we ALL make mistakes and this is how we, “DISCERN” or “LEARN” from them.  Why do we have to be taught from right and wrong?  This is how Jesus lived.  He went around and taught others right from wrong by speaking TRUTH in lives to plant a seed in their lives so they could become righteous(good) like he was.  It only takes the faith of a mustard seed to believe in GOD and his word.

Once you commit a sin and your spirit inside you, your, “soul,” tells you that it’s WRONG for what you’ve done, you must confess that particular sin to CHRIST and ask to be FORGIVEN so the burden will be lifted off your shoulders.  SIN is the MAIN REASON we fall away from GOD!  The devil, the evil one, Satan, 666, Lucifer, Beelzebub, the beast tells us to commit these sins and we must IGNORE them at all cost!

The devil wants us to hurt our friends and family.  The devil wants us to commit sin as much as we can so we live an unhappy life.  The devil wants us to hurt our neighbor and do evil and bad against others.  The truth is, the devil is a liar!  The devil doesn’t care about us.  GOD loves us otherwise he would have NEVER sent his son, Jesus Christ to Earth to save the world from sin.  GOD = LOVE and we should imitate the LOVE that GOD has given US!  In an angry situation, it’s best to, “TURN THE OTHER CHEEK.”

CONFESSION= Talking to someone about what you’ve done.  To break it down, it means getting the issue out in the open so you can be RELEASED from the burden and stress that particular sin has brought upon you.  You should confess to a professional guidance counselor, an ON FIRE FOR GOD Christian, (Holy person) or GOD.

You can either talk to GOD if you feel most comfortable, or a close friend or family member.  I recommend talking to the SOURCE, GOD.  If you can’t talk to GOD because of the burden the sin has put onto your heart, talk to a Christian, a Holy person, someone who has been SAVED and they will give you proper direction and guidance.

HOW TO and WHY YOU SHOULD CONFESS YOUR SINS:

Sometimes it’s hard to ask GOD for forgiveness because of the burden that has been put on our hearts and lives after we commit such evil sins.  This is why CONFESSION is most important.  We must confess to a Holy person, a “Christian,” a Christ-like person because Christians will NEVER steer us in the wrong direction.  Christians are filled with the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit will NEVER steer us wrong!  The truth is, a good Christian will counsel you and give you a NEUTRAL answer once everything is all said and done.

The result will be within YOUR heart to make up your mind what is right or wrong in your own life.  The Holy Spirit will then LEAD you to make your final answer.  The Christian, counselor, person of TRUTH will guide you, tell you the TRUTH always and you’ll make up your own decision from your own heart.  Sometimes they will base their TRUTH on Biblical scripture to help direct you and your life.

So you are probably saying, “Well, I’ve heard so many horror stories about confessing sins to a Catholic Priest and other so called, “Christians” that I am just deathly afraid of them now.”  Sometimes it’s hard to confess your sins to a priest or Christian because you don’t TRUST that person you don’t know, so you might sometimes confess what you did to someone else.  The truth is, conversing with friends about the bad things you’ve done is STILL CONFESSING!

This is cool and all to confess your sins to just any old person, but if you want to have the RIGHT answers all the time, you should really confess your sins to the RIGHT people.  The reason why confessing sins to your friends or family members is not such a good idea sometimes is because they will sometimes give you the wrong ideas and plant more ideas into your head based on what THEY believe.  Trust me, this is why you won’t be left with a good outcome in the end sometimes.

Each and every person you talk to about your particular sin or, “ISSUE” might have a completely different outlook on what has been done.  Talking to MANY people about this ONE particular thing you’ve done, will really lead you to confusion and frustration.  This is why it’s best to look to the SOURCE for guidance and not tell MANY other people.  The source is YOUR FATHER who art in HEAVEN.

In order to submit to GOD, you must go through JESUS CHRIST, his SON, first.  Ask your father, Christ, for forgiveness by confessing your sins to him.  Confess with your mouth, so “SPEAK OUT LOUD” to him and tell him what you’ve done.  Then ask him for FORGIVENESS of your particular sin or sins.

FORGIVENESS= You are set free from the guilt that the sin has caused you.  You are free from the stress, frustration, anger, bitterness, un-Holy feeling, the confusion that the sin has caused you.  You start walking back into the LIGHT with CHRIST and GOD so that you can get back on track and start living a better, prosperous, righteous, peaceful, happy, joyful life after forgiveness has set in.  Jesus Christ FORGIVES us from our sins because he DIED on the cross to pay the penalty for each and EVERY sin each and EVERY one of us commits along the way of LIFE!  Forgiveness is a GIFT of the Holy Spirit, it is not because we don’t, “FEEL” like forgiving someone or not at this time.  The truth is, forgiveness is NOT a feeling!  It’s a GIFT and it is an INSTANCE that one should have in their heart to FORGIVE right away, ALWAYS!  Forgiveness is out of LOVE and good FAITH and good faith starts with HIM.

BASIC BREAKDOWN: You sin, you learn, you feel guilty, you confess, you are forgiven.  You repeat until you FINALLY GET IT.  The truth is, once you commit each and every particular sin, you should REPENT, (turn away from) each and every sin until you have it down pat.  Remember, Jesus Christ was PERFECT in the eyes of GOD.  Your job as a Christian is to be an imitator of CHRIST!  Jesus was a PERFECT person and although we have been sinning since birth, the idea is to be BORN AGAIN, (pure as a child before you even knew what sin was), you must follow in his footsteps to do what is RIGHT from this day forward.  PRACTICE!  PRACTICE!  PRACTICE!  Practice makes what people?  “PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT!”

RESULT: You should never commit the same sin twice, otherwise the burden and stress will just keep coming back and you will be back to the old drawing board.  Learn and discern from each and every one.

If you want to live a Holy (pure) and happy, peaceful life, you must follow CHRIST our father, ALWAYS.  Before you even THINK about committing the next sin, think about this, “What would Jesus do in this particular situation?”

Humble yourself in EVERY situation, take a deep breath and do this:  “STOP,” “DROP” & “PRAY.”  If you do this and ask GOD for guidance, he will make all your paths STRAIGHT (clear) Christian and you’ll never be led wrong.

Philippians 1:6 (The Message)

A Love That Will Grow

3-6Every time you cross my mind, I break out in exclamations of thanks to God. Each exclamation is a trigger to prayer. I find myself praying for you with a glad heart. I am so pleased that you have continued on in this with us, believing and proclaiming God’s Message, from the day you heard it right up to the present. There has never been the slightest doubt in my mind that the God who started this great work in you would keep at it and bring it to a flourishing finish on the very day Christ Jesus appears.

Philippians 1:6 (New Living Translation)

6 And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.
